Servings: 4 cups
Author: On The Go Bites
Ingredients
  • 4 cups pecans, shelled
  • 4 Tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon hot sauce I used Tabasco which is hotter than most sauces
  • 1 Tablespoon garlic salt
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees.

  2. Melt butter in skillet. Remove from heat and add Worcestershire, garlic salt and hot sauce, stir well. Toss in pecans, stir until evenly coated.

Spread in a single layer on a cookie sheet and toast in the oven for 30 minutes.  Stir once or
    twice.  Drain on paper towels.

Store in airtight container for up to a week.

Recipe Notes

Tip: Line the baking sheet with foil for easy clean up.  When stirring try not to rip the foil.
If you are doubling the recipe, make sure to use two baking sheets to leave air and space between the nuts to ensure crispiness.
If you only have garlic powder, then mix equal parts garlic powder with kosher salt to make the garlic salt.
These savory toasted pecans make great gifts for teachers, service workers or as a hostess gift.   Just put in a cute bag, label with contents and expiration date and tie with a ribbon.
